In this news update, which is the last one of 2024, Yvonne & Marco bring you up to speed on the General Binding Declaration (GBD), our approach to sector communications and our consumer activities.
One unified voice for the floriculture sector Sustainability is an essential condition for the future of the sector. Significant progress is being made, but unfortunately, these efforts are not always visible to the consumer. To ensure a clear and positive message, a core team has been established, consisting of Glastuinbouw Nederland, Royal FloraHolland, and Flower Council of Holland. This team will formulate joint positions, based on collected facts and data.
Plant happiness at home Plant Happiness at Home, which is an online (video) campaign launched in the Netherlands, Germany and United Kingdom, brings the positive properties of house plants to the attention of consumers. A collaborative partnership has also been established with LINDA., Flow Magazine and Happinez in the Netherlands, and with the magazines Brigitte, Flow and Living at Home in Germany.
Celebrate Christmas with flowers For many consumers, the month of December is the perfect time to add an extra touch of magic to their homes. But how do you set a stylish Christmas table? And how do you make a festive Christmas bouquet? Our campaign Celebrate Christmas with flowers offers consumers tips and inspiration for making flowers part of their holiday celebrations. This is done in partnership with major parties such as VROUW-magazine, De Telegraaf newspaper, and the Albert Heijn chain of supermarkets in the Netherlands.
Happy Holidays With the end of 2024 rapidly approaching, we would like to thank you for the trust that you placed in us and for the pleasant collaboration. When the new year arrives, we plan to continue our commitment to sharing the positive well-being effects of flowers and plants with an even wider audience and working with you to create a sector that is fit for the future.
On behalf of the entire Flower Council of Holland team, our warmest wishes for the holidays and a happy & healthy 2025!
